How do you know if you have Blocked Drains?

You often get warnings of blocked drains in advance of a blockage. Unpleasant odours around your kitchen or bathroom, or the water in sinks, toilets and bathtubs draining very slowly, are both strong indicators that a drain might be blocked. Detecting a blocked drain quickly can drastically reduce damage caused, such as when a toilet or drain overflows and causes flooding. Another indicator of a blocked drain is gurgling or gulping sounds along with your smelly drains and both these are early warning signs of a potential drainage issue or blocked drain.
Further signs of a blocked drain include the water level in the toilet rising above or falling below normal levels, and/or the drain outside the house overflowing, especially after using the washing machine. An overflowing waste drain in the floor of a shower is another strong indication of a drain blockage.
